In 2022, EDF won a tender from the SEC to act as Project Management Office (PMO) for the deployment of its distribution network automation project.

The scope of work involves establishing Project Management Offices (PMOs) for the development of existing Control Centers and Smart Field Equipment deployment projects nationwide. EDF is tasked with designing and implementing the PMO, encompassing the definition of organisational structures, processes, documentation, and dashboards. Additionally, EDF created milestones, time plans, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and provide quality assurance, project controlling, reporting, and communication support for the projects. This includes overseeing program governance, monitoring activities, identifying risks, ensuring contractor compliance, presenting reports to the steering committee, and reinforcing project/program plans.
