The scope of work encompasses comprehensive consultancy services for the 400 kV KSA-UAE interconnection expansion project, including tasks such as tender document preparation and evaluation, design and studies review and approval, factory inspection, site supervision, testing and commissioning, and handing over, along with overall project management.
Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) Project Management Office
In 2022, EDF won a tender from the SEC to act as Project Management Office (PMO) for the deployment of its distribution network automation project.
The scope of work involved establishing Project Management Offices (PMOs) for the development of existing Control Centers and deployment of Smart Field Equipment projects nationwide. EDF was tasked with designing and implementing the PMO, encompassing the definition of organisational structures, processes, documentation, and dashboards. Additionally, EDF created milestones, time plans, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and provided quality assurance, project controlling, reporting, and communication support for the projects. This included overseeing program governance, monitoring activities, identifying risks, ensuring contractor compliance, presenting reports to the steering committee, and reinforcing project/program plans.
